Employability of young musicians in Spain

With a B.A. in Music and an M.A. in Research on the “Development of Musical Capabilities”, Miren Iñarga has taught at the Musikene Higher School of Music of the Basque Country since 2004, where she offers several courses on the accordion.

Specialized in Teaching Methods, she regularly gives courses to students as well as educators who wish to update their knowledge and teaching skills. She collaborates regularly with conservatories, schools and associations, continuously monitoring the students and their repertoire. She frequently assists with different contests as a member of the jury. She also participates regularly in national and international meetings, conferences and congresses in music and education.

Since 2014, she has been the Managing and Academic Director of the Musikene Higher School of Music of the Basque Country. In the same centre, as an educational administrator, she previously served as Director of the Department of Keyboard and Assistant Director of Curriculum Planning.

She belongs to the Music Advisory Council of the Basque Government and the High Council for Artistic Education of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. She is also an election officer of the European Association of Conservatories and sits on the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Centres of Higher Education in the Arts (Spanish acronym: ACESEA).
